Home in Arizona

I realized today that I've been using Facebook more and not blogging as faithfully as I should be. It's amazing how much has happened since I last blogged, but then I guess you can always check out Facebook to see what has happened in our lives. So I'll start from today.

We still absolutely love our home in Waddell, Arizona. It is huge, but wonderful and perfect for us. We have room for people to visit and stay the night which we have really never had. We have set up four bedrooms with either queen or king size beds. Each one has it's own bathroom or semi-private bathroom.

We finally have a real living room, not at living room/family room/kitchen. It is so nice to have a separate living room and dining room.

We did move a lot of stuff from our storage containers at the office and have been able to find places for it here.

The weather is very pleasant this time of year - getting into the 80s and sunny. The pool temperature is 82. Don checks it every day to see where it is at. I'm a wimp and won't go in unless is over 90. Yeah, I know.

We've been painting around the house to cover all of the previous owner's unfinished projects.

Yesterday we painted the exercise room. It was lime green and hot pink. (Now you know why we got such a good deal on the house.) We painted one wall tan and three walls off white. It matches the other colors in the house.

Don has been building cornices for the house as well. He made some beautiful cornices for the family room and dinette that match the dark wood of the cabinetry. He is so good at putting things together.

We have moved the sign machine into the 2nd floor loft/my office and have it all plugged in. Now I just need to learn how to use it. Should be fun.
